Italian spelling is regular and every syllable matters. Keep the vowels clear, pronounce every written sound and imitate the course voice.

Each vowel has a clean sound. Do not swallow the final vowel: it often carries grammatical meaning.

Stress words and hold double consonants

Stress often falls on the next-to-last syllable. A written final accent is always stressed, and a doubled consonant is held slightly longer.
